"It’s hard not to love animals, but for Community College of Denver’s Veterinary Technology students, these animals become a passion and a career. For National I Love Horses Day (July 15), we tagged along to see what our students are up to outside of the classroom!
Each semester, CCD students visit the Horse Protection League (HPL) in Arvada, CO. This is a rescue horse sanctuary for rehabilitating and rehoming. Our Veterinary Technology students administer vaccines and medication, perform physical exams, take X-rays, and more."
