On Monday, July 14, Community College of Denver (CCD) Foundation and the Consul General of Mexico celebrated another year of scholarship support for CCD students at the Mexican Consulate in Denver.
President Marielena DeSanctis and Foundation Executive Director Jim Chavez joined Consul General Pavel Melendez Cruz to accept funds to support CCD students in 2025-2026. Daniela Campos, a new Dental Hygiene student at CCD, and Ester Quezada, starting work on a Biology degree, joined the ceremony to accept the gift on behalf of the college and thank the Mexican Consulate for their support.
The Mexican Consulate will provide $2,500 in scholarships to CCD students in 25-26, with a double match of an additional $5,000 provided from the CCD Foundation, made possible by individual scholarship donors. Community College of Denver and its Foundation are proud to partner with the Mexican Consulate for this continued support of our students.
