Arizona State University Laboratory for Energy and Power Solutions (LEAPS) is excited to host an online virtual scenario-based military resiliency challenge! This challenge is open to students currently enrolled at an accredited U.S. college or university. Read below for more details!

In this competition, you will play the role of a facilities engineer at Island Point Naval Station, a fictional island military installation inspired by real U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps bases. You will prepare several documents and deliverables exploring the resiliency of the base and responding to a given scenario.
What you’ll do:
· Conduct a resiliency assessment on Island Point Naval Station’s infrastructure
· Create an Impact Report
· Design a Response Plan
· Create a Solution
· Present your Solution for review
What you can win:
· One $5000 scholarship stipend
These funds will be paid out directly to the winning student to be used at the educational institution of their choice.
Who can participate:
· Be enrolled in an accredited College/University
· Provide completed and signed consent forms with submission
The Military Installation Resilient Design Challenge is hosted by the Laboratory for Energy and Power Solutions (LEAPS) at Arizona State University and sponsored by the Office of Naval Research STEM program. Submissions require student consent forms which detail the use of submission data for reporting and publication. Students under 18 years of age will also require parental consent. Previous stipend awardees are ineligible.
